Sometimes pet owners need more than traditional dog walking or pet sitting. Fairy Dog Mama was created to provide knowledgeable, safe and personalized care for pets who deserve more than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Since 2016, Fairy Dog Mama has provided professional dog walking and live-in pet care throughout North and West Vancouver, with a focus on positive reinforcement, consistency, safety and getting to know each animal as an individual.
I have extensive experience working with dogs who are anxious, reactive, sensitive, elderly, or simply happiest with a smaller and more personal style of care.
Fairy Dog Mama intentionally keeps a limited client list so pets receive consistent, attentive and relationship-based care.
All dogs deserve their own Fairy Dog Mama.

Here’s How It Works
Step 1
(Contact Us)
Email us and tell us a little about you, your pet and the type of care you’re looking for. From there, we can arrange an initial consultation.
Step 2
(Consultation)
During the consultation, we’ll discuss your pet’s routine, personality, behaviour, care needs and what you’re looking for from Fairy Dog Mama. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll arrange an in-person Meet & Treat.
Step 3
(Meet & Treat)
Before care begins, we’ll meet you and your pet at your home so everyone can get comfortable and familiar. We’ll review routines, access instructions, behaviour or medical considerations, and anything else needed to make your pet’s care safe and comfortable.

Fairy Dog Mama uses positive reinforcement and force-free handling, with care centred around safety, trust and each animal’s individual comfort level.
Courtney began working professionally with dogs in 2013 and has extensive experience with dogs who are reactive, anxious, sensitive or require a more individualized approach than a traditional high-volume walking environment can provide.
Peace of Mind
Fairy Dog Mama has been providing professional pet care on the North Shore since 2016.
Rather than operating as a high-volume dog walking company, Fairy Dog Mama intentionally maintains a limited client list. Walks are private or arranged in carefully matched small groups of no more than four dogs, allowing for consistent, attentive and relationship-based care.
Safety and positive reinforcement remain the priority whether your dog is walking on leash, long line or enjoying an appropriate off-leash environment.
Flexible & Communicative
Life gets busy, and reliable pet care makes a huge difference.
Fairy Dog Mama provides regular updates and clear communication about your pet’s care, schedule and wellbeing. Because the client list is intentionally limited, advance booking is always recommended.

Courtney Faulkner
Founder & Owner
Courtney Faulkner began her professional animal-care career in 2013 at a positive-reinforcement dog daycare and training facility in North Vancouver. Working closely with dogs with behavioural, emotional and physical challenges sparked a passion for providing animals with safe, individualized care outside traditional high-volume daycare and boarding environments. Courtney founded Fairy Dog Mama in 2016, and the business has since grown into a highly personalized dog walking and live-in pet care service serving North and West Vancouver. Her approach focuses on positive reinforcement, relationship-based care and maintaining a deliberately limited client list so pets receive consistent and attentive care.

Our Journey
Courtney began working professionally with dogs in North Vancouver in 2013. After seeing how much anxious, sensitive and behaviourally complex dogs benefited from individualized, positive-reinforcement care, she founded Fairy Dog Mama in 2016.
What began with private dog walking and live-in care has developed into a trusted North Shore pet-care service built around long-term relationships, small groups and personalized care.
