About Us

Courtney Faulkner, the Founder and Operator of Fairy Dog Mama began working in the pet care industry in 2013. She was working at a positive reinforcement based daycare in North Vancouver and found working with dogs that had physical, mental, and emotional difficulties super rewarding.

After getting to know these dogs and their families, she soon discovered that there was a need for better care for these animals in their homes, and on the trails. She began providing private walks and live-in care for the dogs she had cared for in the Daycare, and she soon founded the Fairy Dog Mama in 2016.

Her force free, positive reinforcement approach of dog care began to flourish. Courtney needed help maintaining her business and tending to all of her clientele. She quickly formed a team consisting of her co-workers from the daycare and other experienced dog care providers.

The Fairy Dog Mama began to expand from North Vancouver to West Vancouver. Now it currently services North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Sunshine Coast, Whistler and Downtown Vancouver.

This allowed her to have a better amount of availability for her clients and service more dog families at once. At the end of the day, Courtney and Fairy Dog Mama is on a mission to provide all dogs have a safe option for their specific needs, with a force free, compassionate approach, always.
